Description
I drew this from a photo I took in January, 1999. It was a year of el nino and it was cool, windy and rainy a big part of the time around Tucson. I had the frightening experience of being stuck on I-10 in a horrible sandstorm between Phoenix and Casa Grande. At least on this occasion at the national park, the weather was clear but cool. My father and I had been there several weeks at Casa Grande and other places around Quartzite, Phoenix, etc. My wife, my mother and my grandson flew out and joined us for a week. The photos I have of them at this national park show everyone in a jacket or windbreaker. I can show you what it looked like there, but I can't show you what it felt like. This is a very beautiful park and I enjoyed it in spite of the weather.
